iNaturalists' Hike in the Frontcountry

  • 1218 Galm Road San Antonio, TX, 78254 United States (map)

Take a citizen science hike in the Frontcountry with the Friends of Government Canyon. We’ll hike 4.74 miles over fairly level ground on Lytle’s Loop. Open to people 12 years and up; no pets please. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

If you are interested in participating in the City Nature Challenge during our hike, please download the free iNaturalist app on your phone and set up an account before you arrive. We will photograph flora and fauna along the way, adding data to iNaturalist, a citizen science project that helps researchers monitor species and track changes in our world. Our efforts will be part of a worldwide effort to document urban biodiversity this weekend during the City Nature Challenge.
