Sounds of the Night

The outdoors at night can seem a little spooky, unless you know what all those strange thumps, rustles and buzzes are. Come play a game with us to learn some of our common wildlife sounds, then take a short ranger-led night hike. way.

Who is Invited

Open to ages 5 and up; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please. This activity includes both a seated activity and a short hike.

Registration, Fees, Day Pass & Cancellation

Registration is required for this hike. Group size is limited. Sorry, no group registrations. Registration opens on Saturday, two weeks prior to the event, and closes at noon, the Thursday before the event. Though the program is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area apply.

To save time at the Fee Booth on crowded days and ensure entrance, please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass . SPECIAL NOTE: Reserving a Day Pass is NOT the same as making a program reservation.

When & Where to Meet

Program begins at 7:30PM.  Meet at the amphitheater. Closest parking is in Lot C.

What to Wear & Bring

Dress for hiking outdoors. Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, bug spray and a hat are recommended. Bring at least 1 liter of water per person. You may want to bring a blanket or portable chair to sit on, as the provided seating is on limestone ledges.
