Sat, Apr 1, 9:00 am – 10:00 am

Join Government Canyon’s Superintendent and amateur beekeeper, Chris Holm, to learn about the fascinating lives and importance of bees! It’ll be a honey of a program that will get you buzzed about these powerful little pollinators, and you might even get stung with the urge to start your own hive! Bee there, or bee square! This program is limited to the first 30 who sign up and is best for 2nd-5th graders, but is open to kids of all ages as well. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; no pets please. Reservations are required and will be accepted through noon on Friday March 31, 2017.  Sorry, no group reservations. Include name, age if under 18, e-mail address and telephone number for each reservation. For more information, e-mail reservations@friendsofgc.org or call (210) 688-9055, ext 2009. Natural Area entrance fees apply.

The fine print

IMPORTANT: Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of this program; if the natural area is experiencing unusually heavy visitation you may get caught waiting in line to get past the Fee Booth, and we’d hate for you to be late to the program! Meet at the Exhibit Gallery next to the main Visitor Center.

Limited to 30 participants.
